Dan Atherton a true inspiration.
Red Bull Hardline is back. The world’s best mountain bike riders will return to the Mid Wales countryside to ride one of the fastest, toughest downhill mountain bike runs ever created. Dan Atherton built a course that pushed the world’s best to their limits.
REDBULL HARDLINE DOWNHILL SHOW 2015 Video 2015

Last year’s inaugural Red Bull Hardline was an event shrouded in secrecy. There were given only a few small hints about what Dan Atherton was building deep in the heart of Wales before all of a sudden, the videos (and our jaws) dropped.
In just six weeks Dan had turned a Welsh hillside into the most demanding and terrifying downhill race track in the world. In the words of Rob Warner: “If freeride jumped into bed with downhill then this would be its devil child.”

Due to the secrecy of last year’s event, there were actually very few spectators, just friends and family of the competitors. This year however that’s all set to change and Red Bull is giving you the chance to see the world’s 20 best riders up close and personal as they are pushed to their limits.

Dan Atherton has already started work on the 2015 course and has promised to make it bigger, giant slab rolls, tight woods sections, more technical natural features, gnarly rock gardens and a giant manmade road gap. We’re not sure what exactly this means but the humongous wooden road gap is sure to be a popular spectator point from where you can really appreciate the technical skills of these riders.

The event will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September in Dinas-Mawddwy, Mid-Wales.
